Sharon is extremely knowledgeable and compassionate and her straightforward manner helped cut through all the various voices while working extraordinarily hard to help our child and family through the difficult recovery process. Her strength gave us strength. But it was her kindness while we were walking through this wilderness that was equally important to us.

Sharon is a dedicated and passionate individual, committed to helping, and making a difference in people’s lives. She is extremely knowledgeable and is tireless in her efforts to help people recover from their eating disorders. She has the perfect blend of empathy, compassion and persistence needed in a recovery coach. She truly loves what she does, and it shows. I can say firsthand, she was instrumental in contributing to my daughter’s life saving treatment and anyone would be unbelievably lucky to have Sharon in their corner, and part of their support system. I speak as not just a mother she has helped, but as a therapist who works with eating disorders.

I had the pleasure of working with Sharon at The National Alliance for Eating Disorders on many different levels. We first met when I was a participant in the groups myself for my own recovery with an eating disorder and she was always a great source of support and encouragement during my struggle. She was always open to listening as well as giving feedback and support to guide me on my path to recovery. Sharon has a great balance on how to have compassion and empathy for those who struggle while also being proactive in finding the appropriate levels of care when needed and working with clients step by step to achieve recovery. I have also directly worked with her in a professional setting working for The Alliance and she has a breadth of knowledge and resources that have directly impacted so many to move towards complete recovery and to lead meaningful lives with their goals and intentions put into place. She is organized, professional, caring and compassionate and is someone that has contributed to the eating disorder recovery field for many years.
